Wednesday Clean up Time

The bikes needed a bath so down to the wash.

Tuesday Quesnel BC to Anacortes WA

Once we got on the other side of the mountains it was green.

We stopped in Lilooet for lunch. It was 90+ degrees. This was pretty hot considering it was 40s to 60s during our trip.

Tues we heading down by Whistler to Anacortes. This was a great ride that went through the mountains over the coast of BC. The weather was hot early in the day and cooled off nicely as we got close to home.

Sunday Testlin to Stewart BC and Monday to Quesnel

We then headed back in a valley about 40 miles to a place called Stewart BC. It was known back in the day as a gold mining town. They are also know for glaciers that used to come down to the valley floor. We stayed in a pretty cool old hotel. There was a bigger glacier to see another 20 miles down the rode but it was cloudy and rainy so we saw no point in going to see it. I did get shots of sammler ones driving in and out of the valley.

We went down the west side of BC on the Cassiar hwy. This was a 2 lane rode that was very scenic. Along the way we ran into some gravel areas but was well worth it. We saw 5 bear, Dall Sheep, Moose and a fox.

Beaver Ceek to South of Teslin YT

We stopped for the night at Dawson Peak Campground and got a cabin. Nice place.

Had breakfast at Ida's Motel and Cafe and headed south.

Friday was Anchorage to Breaver Creek YT

Later we were having lunch in Whitehorse. and a guy noticed we were on motorcycles. Had told use he helped a guy on a Ninja. It happened to be the guy we talked to in Beaver Creek. How random is that.

We stayed at the same place at Breaver Creek when we came up. Met a good guy next door to us that was riding up from LA and was having a rough time. He encountered hail storm in lower BC that piled up like snow and he went down on this motorcycle. He went down again south of Beaver Creek in a corner with gravel on it. Slide of the bike into a ditch and the bike slide on top of him. He was ok and got away lucky with a burn on his leg from the exhaust pipe. We asked in he was ok on medical supplies. Dad was showing him maps and we were telling him about the weather up north and recommended he might head back home because he was banged up along with his bike.

More random shots.

These are some shots of the Matanuska Glacier Valley. It's east of Palmer, AK. Dad has friends there that have a view of the valley. Since the weather has changed over the last 20 years the tundra and permafrost melted. Trees started to grow everywhere as well..

Here are some random shots taken along the way.
